The football season is upon us again and Saturday 12th September saw the first league fixture for our sponsored Under 9 Football Team Belvedere Park "Blue".
Crisis struck mid-week when one of the team unfortunately broke his ankle. The day before the match, another team member had an accident at school resulting in a suspected broken arm.
This left only six squad members to play in a seven-a-side team so things were not looking good.
On the day, however, the team battled on showing tremendous team spirit and never gave up.
The efforts of all the team paid off and Belvedere won 4-0.
What a terrific result!
