Warning about email scams
It has been brought to our attention that there are a number of email scams being circulated with regard to tax rebates.
HM Revenue & Customs never send emails informing taxpayers of tax rebates, or use external companies to do this, or telephone the taxpayer. HM Revenue & Customs will always write to the taxpayer to inform them of a refund.
If you receive an email purporting to be from HMRC do not visit the website contained within the email or disclose any personal or payment information.

HM Revenue & Customs does not send out emails using these email addresses.
If you receive an email supposedly from HM Revenue & Customs then you should forward it to the HM Revenue & Customs email security centre at phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk
